Lokket, Inc. Terms and Conditions

1. General Policy

By opening an account with Lokket, Inc. (“Lokket”), you agree to abide by all policies of Lokket. These policies apply to all users of Lokket without exception; failure to adhere to the stated policies may result in termination of the account at the discretion of Lokket. Lokket reserves the right to change policies, services, and pricing. Your continued use of an account signifies acceptance of any and all policy changes, and you may cancel if you do not agree with changes in policy, service, or pricing. Lokket reserves the right to refuse to provide service to anyone.

1.1 Disclaimers

Lokket makes no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, for the service it is providing. Lokket will not be held responsible for any damage you suffer from use of an account or service provided by Lokket unless otherwise agreed to in writing. This includes—but is not limited to—equipment damage, failure, or loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, or service interruptions caused by the company’s negligence or your negligence or misuse. Lokket cannot be held responsible if long-distance or other communications fees are incurred.

1.2 Privacy

Lokket is committed to preserving the privacy of its customers and protecting their personal data. Lokket does not actively monitor customer use of the Internet, customer email, or other customer communications in the course of its regular operations. Lokket is strongly opposed to third-party information-harvesting strategies and technologies, such as unlawful wiretapping.

Information Retained by Lokket

Lokket keeps information about its customers such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and details about the Lokket services used by the customer. All such information is considered private. Lokket also keeps logs of limited technical information, retained on a temporary basis to ensure high-quality service. No logs are kept indefinitely.

Lokket will only disclose customer information to a third party under these circumstances:

  1. Service Fulfillment: In the course of providing services requested by the customer, where affiliates need limited information to complete order processing.
  2. Legally Mandated Requests: In the event of a legitimate, legally mandated request for customer information, and only within the narrow scope of that request.

Lokket will not otherwise disclose any private information about its customers to any other third party.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

Any prohibited or illegal activity that affects Lokket, its agents, equipment, or customers is punishable to the full extent of the law, and Lokket will hold you responsible for any damage caused by your actions, whether intentional or unintentional. You are strictly prohibited from using your account in ways not outlined in this Acceptable Use Policy; you may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law if you do so illegally.

Lokket functions primarily as an Internet Service Provider and does not generally monitor or interrupt user activities, exert editorial control, or censor content. However, exceptions may be made to protect the network and customers, including but not limited to:

2.1 Illegal Activities

Lokket is legally required to report any criminal activity it becomes aware of to the appropriate authorities. It is the responsibility of the account owner to be familiar with current laws and regulations.

2.2 Network Abuse

Use of Lokket accounts or services for orchestration of or participation in any network abuse—on either Lokket or external networks—is forbidden and grounds for account termination and possible legal action. Lokket reserves the right to determine what constitutes network abuse (e.g., hacking, port scanning, distributing malware, initiating DDoS attacks, etc.).

2.3 Support

Lokket provides personal support from a knowledgeable, friendly, and local support team. Abuse or harassment of support agents will not be tolerated and may result in service termination.

2.4 Use of Copyrighted Material

Lokket complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Customers are responsible for the content they upload or share. Transferring copyrighted material without proper rights is prohibited and may result in account termination.

3. Accountability

The owner of a Lokket account is responsible for any abuse of the account or service, whether or not the owner was the actual initiator of the abuse.

4. Enforcement and Remedy

Violation of these terms can result in:

  • A warning
  • Temporary suspension of service
  • Billing to defray administrative costs
  • Termination of services, accounts, or both
  • Legal action

Should any customer activity cause network outages or related issues, the account owner will be billed for downtime. Lokket may act without prior notice if necessary but will notify the user as soon as practicable thereafter.

5. No Limitation

This Acceptable Use Policy in no way limits Lokket’s rights or remedies. Lokket may take any necessary actions to protect network integrity or recover operational costs.

6. WiFi Network Sharing Policy

For Lokket services where customer premise equipment is provided, owned, and managed by Lokket, such equipment may in the future be used to provide secured, separate WiFi access to guests. Your own traffic will have priority, and an opt-out mechanism will be provided if or when this feature launches.

7. Technical Support Policy

Lokket’s technical support assists customers with initial connectivity. While additional support may be offered at Lokket’s discretion, it does not obligate Lokket to provide ongoing assistance for non-connectivity issues.
